Furiosa will hit Australian theaters on May 23, 2024, with the film reaching U.S. cinemas the following day. However, like Fury Road in 2015, Furiosa will be screened on May 15, 2024, at the Cannes Film Festival. The movie may not be out yet, but audiences of an early test screening in Burbank reportedly had nothing high praise for it.

ABOUT MOVIE!!

While Mad Max: Fury Road only took place across several days, the scope of Furiosa will be much larger, spanning the 15 years leading up to the events of Fury Road.

The official synopsis of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga reads:

As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga CAST!

At CCXP 2023, the first trailer for the Furiosa movie added to the interest already drummed up for the film by its major casting announcements. Anya Taylor-Joy has long been attached to the project in the role originated by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road, only worsening Mad Max and Furiosa's confusing franchise timeline. That said, the trailer for Furiosa offered interesting first looks at the movie's star-studded cast, despite not all of their roles being clear as yet. With Furiosa set to emulate its predecessors, the main cast will be rather small, yet the characters will all be dynamic and unforgettable denizens of George Miller's imaginative post-apocalyptic landscape.
